Shanktelli
is a boutique production house that specifically builds tools to the same specifications that they were almost 100 years ago set forth by Maestro Giorgio Santelli and his cadre. He was a one man operation. If it was more than capable then, it’s certainly capable now.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
Built with intent. Forged from legacy.
At Shanktelli, we don’t chase trends. We don’t pump out generic shapes from factory dies. Every tool we produce is rooted in purpose and built from materials that carry weight. Not just in steel, but in history.
Our means of production rely on sourcing vintage steel. Swords, fencing blades, and combat tools that were meant to be used. Whether it’s a Victorian-era sabre, a broken 1932 epee, or steel once gripped by Olympic hopefuls or desperate soldiers, we only work with the best period manufacturers. Because we believe the hours spent lunging, thrusting, parrying, and drilling don’t vanish—they linger in the steel. These aren’t just tools. They’re artifacts humming with purpose.
We don’t pretend any of this is perfect. In fact, imperfection is part of the design. Just like the original Giele, built as a one-off by a forward-deployed intelligence officer during the Invasion of Iraq. Just like Giorgio Santelli’s original sleevedaggers—crafted only when absolutely necessary, not mass-produced for catalog sales.
Our tools are Frankenstein’s monsters in the best way—assembled from legacy, shaped by intention, and reanimated to serve again. No two are alike. And none of them are for the safe.
These tools are for the field. For the street. For the alley. For the fight you didn’t ask for, but were ready to end.
On this page you will find all of the models currently being produced by Shanktelli.
Every piece is a limited run, often a one-off. These tools are all assembled from modified equipment. Unless specifically stated NOTHING is brand new. These tools are made from what’s left after dreams become nightmares.
More are coming. But only when they’re ready.
Custom orders are available. While choices may be limited, we will work with you. The items shown below are what we currently offer.

About: Black Vein Method is not your average self-defense manual.
